From the fifteenth century Tibetan scholars reappraised earlier ideas, attacked or defended Sakya Paṇḍita, and debated Tsongkhapa's reading of Madhyamaka.
From the fifteenth century, scholars reappraised ideas from the earlier period, criticised or defended Sakya Paṇḍita, and wrote both commentaries and independent manuals. In Madhyamaka, the followers of Tsongkhapa, whose school became the Gelug, and critics such as the Sakya scholar Gorampa argued over the two truths and the place of logic.
